We started Wonderful Wednesdays last week! Our first week was to assemble the Lapbooks. This was a JOB! Everyone had come with their various file folders (some colored, some fancy) and their pre-cut 1.1 Lapbook pieces and we proceeded to assemble them. We started at 9:30am and by 1:30pm we were finally done! We lost the kids attention about an hour into it (if that) and we realized that the next assembly would be best to do with the Moms on Wine Wednesdays instead of with kids on Wonderful Wednesdays! Haha! However, I think now that we've done one of them, the next one won't be as big of a job. We mainly had a time figuring out placement and understanding what the flow of things should be to make it work best to use on a weekly basis as we plan for our continuing WW's. The kids were excited to see each other and really wanted to play. We couldn't compete with that desire after a while, so they ended up playing while we figured out how to assemble these Lapbooks! When it was all said and done, we all loved the end product we came out with.
We also each brought something to contribute to a fun lunch for the kids....hotdog corn muffins, veggies, fruit and wonderful Cupcakes. They really enjoyed their time together and it was a good day for us all. This week we are doing our first craft and filling in our Lapbooks as well as reviewing the material for weeks 1 & 2.
